My ideal future life

Hello again, today I am going to talk about what I think I am going to do in seven years from now.
When I began to study Obstetric I didn’t know so much about what exactly I am going to do in my future job, but with the passing of the months I have fallen in love with this career.
There are several areas in this profession; some of these are neonatology, obstetrics, gynecology and the area of health education.
Gynecology literally means "women's science" but in medicine this area is about all disease which affects the female reproductive system like breast, vagina, uterus and ovaries.
Obstetric from the Latin means "be waiting". This area of the healthy science care in pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum time called puerperium. Obstetric area also includes psychological and social aspects of motherhood.
And finally neonatology is a specialty that cares for the newborn in the first hours after birth and is responsible for diseases that may affect the new child including intensive care.
Of these areas the most that I like is Neonatology. This is because I love babies and if I can help and take care I am going to do.
I always had had a social vocation and I love help everyone who need. This is the reason why I studied this career.
When I finally will finish to study in five years from now I am going to work in public health. This is because I think we as a student from the University of Chile have the duty to give what we learn to people who don't have money to pay a private service.

Role of midwives in people healthy care

Today I am going to write about what kind of prevention is promoted by midwives.
In our area is too much important take care in sexuality business, in sexuality education for the community.
Today with technologies and globalization people are informed and know about any topic, but we know that we can't trust in internet, because this information can be not true.
Midwives are who have to teach community in sexuality, which that is a TABU until now.
Midwives must promote in women and men have a safe sex in community lives, that include family planning and prevention of sexually transmitted infections and all this is for a community wellness.
Some ways to family planning are contraceptives methods and sexual abstinence.
In prevention of sexually transmitted infections is condom, sexual abstinence and have one sexual partner.
Obviously all this prevention's ways are based in educate community in this business and that people love to themselves.
I think one important point is that we need like society a change of mentality because most of the time young people don't go with a midwife for shame that what people will say.
Midwives do congress in schools, universities and in different club for promote a healthy life in the community.
In individual case everyone can have a conversation with a midwife in hospitals and clinics for information in these methods to prevent these things.

Gender role and male - female stereotypes in postmodern society

Today I'm going to talk about gender role and male - female stereotypes in post-modern society.
The human's history since ancient times has always been told by men. But today the history is changing, the women has taken an important role in the society.
With the passing of the year, the women have been educated with what has been inserted in the post-modern society.
Especially in my career, obstetric, it happen a weird situation. Midwife is a female career because we know the women body and we can have more empathy than men.
But in the last years this situation has been changing. Men too want to be part of this beautiful career.
When I see that I have male's companion, I think that they don't really want to be there, because every one look at them with a rare face.
But I think ourselves are guilty and biased of the discrimination and stereotypes, because everyone have the same abilities for study every career if this really like it.
Mostly of women are discriminated against with her attitudes and can't accept that times are changing.
Obviously there is male chauvinism in men, but is unacceptable in women.

The pleasure of eating

Hello again!
Today I'm going to talk about food.
My favorite food is sushi, I love it!
Sushi is a japanesse food which is made mainly with nori, rice, cream cheese, salmon and avocado.
Now in Santiago every chinese food restaurant make Sushi.
I love every kind of food but sometimes I think I eat too much chocolate, but the pleasure of eating is incomparable.
Normally I don't eat food in the University because I think casino's food is very bad then I wait until to stay in home for lunch but in break time I eat yogurt with bread and some fruit, I think this food are very nutritive because they have all the component necesary for a good development in the study and concentration.
In front of the university there is a mcdonald's restaurant, in this place sell a lot of "chatarra food" and this is very bad for the students, because this food are high-fat and doesn't help with a good development.
I think we can eat every kind of food but in a balanced and necesary way.

Be a midwife

When I left the school, I didn't know what to study, but finally I decided to be a midwife because I thought that it was the most interesting career.
I always have had the vocation of help people and I thought that this career would let me try this.
I think the most important role in my future profession is help to bring life into this world, educate people in sexuality business and control women in all aspects of her lives.
When I finally get my title, I pretend to go to work in rural areas and in remote villages, far from the biggest cities.
Be a midwife is not only worry in biological and physiological aspect, It is connect with women and empathize with their, that they feel supported in situation as complex as being a mother.

My role model

I wasn't sure about what study in the university when I left the school, but I decided get in to Obstetric in Universidad de Chile.
I didn't know too much about the career but someone important and specialist in the area of my career in the university who answered all my questions.
Her name is Gloria Concha, she is a midwife with years of experience.
She is an adorable wise and cheerful woman.
Gloria Concha is my teacher in nursing's fundaments.
She love her profession and proves it with her way of teaching.
In my first class I talked with her and she gave me her perspective and she explain me all about what midwife do. In that moment I began to love my future profession.
I always liked help people and now I will help to bring life into this world.
I think Gloria Concha is like my role model, I want to be like her when I graduate.
She always now what to say in any moment and she makes you sure to keep studing.

A little more about me...

Hi again!
Well today I'm going to talk about my hobbies.
I have many hobbies, one of this is YOGA.
I practice this like one or two years ago.
I love Yoga!
I began to do it when I was in a school because I needed something to relax me.
In my first's Yoga class I was to nervous and excited to see what about this activity...
Yoga is not only making position and meditate, Yoga is a different type of see and live the life, Yoga helps you to connect your body and your soul, to think in a different way and I think Yoga help you to really enjoy the life.
Now with the university I don't have much time to go to the Human development institute, but every day in my house and in my life I practice Yoga.
Other one of my hobbies is spend time with my friends and my family.
Every weekend I spend time with my parents and my brother, we go to play bowling, to see my grandparents and talk about everything that happened in the week.
To my friends I see every day in class and we talk, laugh and go out together.
Something to I love to do too is play with my cat Tallarín.
Tallarín is a very naughty cat. He becomes crazy every night and when I touch him he bites me. But when he wants play, he brings me his toys and I throw it to the sky and he catches it.
Jajajaja!!!
He is so happy when I play with him, but He is too bad.
